Hello Joeseph,

Great guide! Riders should tune into this site otherwise you may need to see Joeseph or another Chiropractor one of these days. A good warmup could save you from more than just some aches and pains. It may keep you from doing some more serious damage that could keep you off the water for a while.

Thanks ChiroJoe!

yes, its nice cause you are halfway between the town and "kitecentral"...if youve ever been there you know the ocean in front of all the kiteschools is a madhouse...everyone is throwing huge tricks amidst beginners body dragging directional boards around with 7 foot leashes...its nuts! For me, the best part of Cabarete was getting to the "outside", that is, playing in the nice waves at the reef. Even there you are dodging jumping windsurfers and downed kites but its less crowded. The Caracol is directly opposite the nice waves.

New soft buoys should be in place in front of Kite Beach cabarete soon. the first 30 meters of the water are for students and launching/landing only -- no tricks, jumping on beach. Locals have been talked to and rule will be enforced. Signs will also be posted. Last hour before sunset will be free time when 30m rule will not be enforced. Kite Beach offers the most consistent conditions for riders of all levels. When crowded, simply go upwind to Bozo, play in the waves, or downwind and you'll basically have the ocean to yourself.

Kitexcite will be opening a new test center in cooperation with Hotel caracol and their new oceanfront beach club/bar/restaurant which will serve Caracol, Villas and new luxury oceanfront apts guests. Scheduled opening date is December 15. For more info, feel free to contact me:-)

Great news Marina! These sound like good developments to segregate riding skills/activities. The buoy offsets should avoid some future accidents and incidents. Actions like this should see Cabarete continue to enjoy expanded popularity with kiteboarders.
