You want to become a kiteboard instructor?
Here is a course to become one:

IKO - International Kiteboarding Organization (http://www.IKORG.com) offers a reliable and professional training to qualify instructors.
You can teach professionally Kiteboarding by attending the Instructor Training Course (ITC) offers by IKO at Pismo Beach, California on April 2 through April 6, 2002.

Each IKO Instructor receives a training course, which corresponds precisely to the methodologies for teaching Kiteboarding. The certification is recognized internationally by the kiteboarding community as the Intl. standard in teaching. New graduates can benefit from all the services and advantages IKO offers.

April 2, 2002 IKO Instructor Training Course (ITC)

Location: Pismo Beach, California (half way between San Francisco and Los Angeles)
Dates: 5 Day Training Course: April 2 through April 6, 2002
Instructor Training fee is U$D 550. Space is limited to 8 candidates so make your reservation now.
A $250 non-refundable deposit must be received by March 2, 2002.

We will send you all the information such as accommodation, etc... once you have registered for the ITC.

To attend instructor training course all you need is:

The IKO Kiteboarder card level 3 or have equivalent experience kiteboarding
Ride upwind.
Takeoff and land solo.
Ride with other Kiteboarders on the water in a tight location.
Note: You will take a test at the beginning of your training in order to evaluated your level of competency.
At the end of which you will have developed your abilities in 4 major areas:

1. Analysis: Weather and site.
2. Techniques: Theory, choice of equipment, adaptation to students, maintenance.
3. Knowledge about human: learning of Kiteboard teaching methods, communication, physical and mental abilities.
4. Live conditions: Situation, safety intervention methods.

IKO - ITC Method:

ITC has been studied to accelerate the learning process of kiteboarder, sharing theoretical and practical periods. During live situations, you will be alternatively acting the role of Instructor, assistant instructor and observer.
You will be ready to teach and be capable of managing safely a class of several people under different conditions.
After ITC, you reach the IKO Instructor level 1.
You can then access web site pro area, teach and use IKO standards and tools.
IKO instructor certifies students with kiteboarder card.
IKO Instructor are certified level 2 completing a questionnaire based on teaching experience acquired after your level 1.

hey there,
all i know is that there are two courses in the netherlands an one in egypt soon.


on their website, there's a list - cant open it (flash-problems)
