The question is what size (14 or 16) fits better having a BT 7.0 2001 as small kite. My weight is 67kg and my level is reasonably good; main board will be a Gaastra Chip 142 (142x37).
Here is what was said so far... as you can read it all looks very reasonable, and everytime the advice is different!:
I suggest you the size of 14 sqm, otherwiuse the gap will be too big to 9.5 and with your weight the 14 will pull early and it is more fun to ride with since the 16 will be slower than the 14.

I will not comment about the type of kite, but I can tell you I highly suggest the 16 over the 14m if you already have a 9.5m. Myself and others I kite waith have the Naish 9.5m (arx for me X2 for the others) and the North Rhino 16m. And we find not gap at all. At 18 knots the North gets a bit too overpowering for us and then the 9.5 is great. Under 15 knots the 9.5 is pretty much useless and the 16 North is excellent.
I have never flown the 14m but I would not want my bigger kite having a higher wind range. I think that would overlap with the 9.5 way too much!

Anybody has the FINAL answer???a 7.0er Blacktip is about 9,5 Naish/North and that's it..
so a 16er Rhino is 6,5 meter² bigger than your
7,0er and the 14 is 4,5m² bigger....
I'd say go for 14..
you can still get 18 or 20 later if you want even more low end power...
Thanks a lot in advance!
Geronymous.
