I currently ride on a LTwave 169 and 11 FA
and in my place its only ~15 days a year
to ride 15-20 knts (I only ride on weekends)
Im on budget so I find this kite at
real low cost ( I know that warrior 16.5
is the best solution but its too expensive for me)
so 2 questions:
1 - wind range for my weight and board ?
2 - how it flies ?
off course any impression/suggestion of first hand are wellcome

tnx,
Roy V.

low cost?

take the low-cost lightwind weapon!

wipika Free air (2000) 16!

wipika measured wrong, the kite is a lil bigger
than 18m². the enourmus fronttube makes the
relaunch not too hard (it works even in light winds).
and the kite has an awful lot of power in the low-end.

i had lots of days, where the 16m kites didn't do anything but lying on the beach, waiting for a few more knots and the guys with their
20+ meter monsters were riding - even then, the wipika looked like most fun.

i know a few guys who have the FA 16 and the 11.8 airblast, because there is so much difference in the low-end.

It's a great kite. I rode it last year. I weigh 184 lbs. With a wide twin tip around 17" you would be powered in 10-12 mph. With your Litewave, maybe 12 mph. The upper end is around 18-20 mph. The kite turns pretty good for a big kite. It is easy to relaunch. I demoed all the big kites in 2001 and liked that one the best. I rode it 4 lined.
