I was using my favourite kite which is a 16 M Ocean Rodeo Bronco with 60 M lines and a 151 Epic custom pickle fork. She was only blowin 12 knots and this was enough to keep a tired bored crew of wind waiters a new stoke and that my friends is what its all about.ez

12 knots???

I can get going in 10 knots with my directional board and my 12m Naish X2 using 30m lines....

I don't see the practicial reason for using 60m lines... I just use a bigger kite....

However I guess it'd be very forgiving for trying new tricks etc....

Did you encounter any problems with launching the kite and landing it.....

I tried using 50m lines with my 6.3m C Quad one time but the kite wouldn't launch as there was no wind whatsoever....

The X2's could go pretty well on longer lines as they are pretty fast and respond quickly...

could be worth a go I guess....
