I don't know about water temperature, i assumed it would be the same as cape town, but Rob is definitely the right person to speak to. His place is right on langebaan, so he probably knows it better than anyone else.

Durban is the place to go! We have warm waters all year (approx. 20 deg)and enjoy a sub-tropical climate. Winds average around 15 - 20 knots ...
We are at the beginning of the windy season now ! - and have shark-nettted beaches and the best babes in the country.
Add the consistent surf year-round and you have an ideal kite surf venue. If you need any more info check out
