Old foil worthing the upgrade? Mosquito Pro KS 2000

Any of you did the upgrade on this kite consiting in changing the bar, getting one with the hole & chicken loop as a depower system?
Original bar as just a depower strap.
Also changing the zipper and replacing them with velcro?( mine are salt rusted, any tips?)
I'm going to a light wind destination (7kts-15kts} and it might worth giving it a try.
As I remember this kite was not very stable and prone to luffing, but it will be just to cruise around.....

What do you think ???
