For the guys that were or are still riding the F-One 18M and bought any other newer type as X2 could you compare the perf?
It is a fact that the Mach 1 is fast for its size, and that the depower is awsome therefore the range of the kite is huge, what about the others?

I fly the 15.1 Mach1 and a 12m X2 (and also a 8m X2).

I bought the Mach1 first. It is true that it is a very fast turning kite. I have no trouble switching between it an my 12m X2. They don't feel that different. The Mach1 also seems to also have excellent high end range ..I can fly my 15.1 well above 20 knots.

The X2 is also a very fast turning kite. In general, it has excellent light wind power but maybe not quite as much high wind depower range. Overall the X2 is newer and has more features. The X2 bar is certainly the best. I have just bought another X2 (8m).

I usually fly my 12m X2 because there is a big overlap with the 15.1 Mach1.

Both are very good kites.

Thks Cglasier,

what about the jumps does the x2 really gets more air or they are both pretty much the same and it really depends on how you load them B4 jumping?
Does your F1 15M turns as fast as your 12 X2?
Did you ever try the Mach 18M? If so compare with 15M..
Thks

Fabjet

The 15.1 Mach1 turns nearly as fast as the 12m X2, or at least I don't notice it being slow.

I can't really compare jumping. The bigger kite gives me longer hang time, but I have probably jumped higher on my X2. Overall my 12m X2 is my favorite jumping machine. But maybe that's to be expected with the different sizes.

I have not tried bigger sizes, but when I replace my Mach1, I will certainly go with a bigger size kite. (My 12m X2 range goes below maybe 12 knots.)

Hello
The 18.1 mach1 is a very big kite with a lot of power nothing to compare with the 15.1 mach1 the flight of the 18.1 is very different than other kite but it is certanly a very good kite for low breeze ..

I surfed with the 18.1 mach and it's a very low power kite for a 18 m kite I have a north 16 rhino a it is nearly the same power you can compare a mach 15.1 to 12.5 arx (the power is less then 13.5arx) so the mach kites are very fast but low power for there sizes the wind range is difrent then athor same size kites

Hello
the 18.1 mach1 need speed to get power so you need a board that is going fast it 's very reactive for this size of kite . I agree that the 15.1 mach1 is not that powerfull something like 13.5 arx but the 18.1 mach 1 is BIG you just have to inflate it to see what i mean ...
