rumours new punch out system Cabrinha kites

Postby kitemaster » Sat Jun 19, 2004 10:13 am

Yesterday I found an article on the internet saying that Cabrinha is coming with a new bar. On this bar you will find the recon system together with a punch out system like like F one.

??????????????????????????????????????

I'm glad companies like Cabrinha still take the time and effort, not to mention $$$'s to invest in the sport to make it better AND safer for all of us, despite parasites like BEST who will no doubt clone anything not protected by patents and copyright.

Cabrinha is still the best if you want cutting edge technology, done by the people who usually invented it, not ripped off and shoe-horned onto 10 year old designs by people whose job is to make it cheaper rather than safer.

They won't be stealing any ideas from the Punch Out system that Ocean Rodeo developed years ago?

If you want to call companies parasites then call them all parasites, they are all making essentially the same type of kite, based on the Legainoux bros work.
Patents are generally about money, not universal safety systems, if re-con was so good other companies would be using it already.

Show us a 10 year old 4 lined inflatable kite design that resembles any thing like the superior designs of EH and Best kites?
Where are they? Name them, come on.

Keep it real, in 4 years Cabrinha have invented some disasters and some great products (more so in the last 2 years).

Best has been going approx 4 months, give them a break, unless you are a disgruntled shopkeeper or distributor! :thumb:

It's a combination of recon with punch out.

What is "punch out"

What does punch out mean? I am guessing it doesn't involve Mike Tyson and a nintendo?

to release a quick release, you can push the bar all the way up and a pin will be released then you have the kite safe.
Problem: if you do no haneded tricks or somehow the bar gets to be pushed too hard on the pin, it can release.

Check out the Ocean Rodeo website and the F-one website for those type of bars.
