Hi,
I can buy a AB 11.8 but there is a little rip 7 cm in the rip-stop at the middle strut at the side it's attached to the leading edge.
The guy selling this kite said this was a known failure of the AB 11.8 because of to much tension on the ripstop on this particulair place. Especially when you put a board on it or drop some sand on it to secure the kite on the beach.
Does anybody have or had this problem and can it be fixed?
Is it wise to buy this kite and let it be fixed. He already done this once but it cracked again.
Thanks

I have a 2002 11.8 AB and have seen no evidence of this at all. I would be wary of buying it without a reduction to pay for a proper repair ie. replace the relevant panels.

Hi
I've had AB 11.8's from 2000 to current 2002 model (month old) and I have never had or even heard of this problem with them.
TAKE IT BACK!!!!!

do not even try to repair it, just demand a new kite. Repairing panels means great risks, as the kite could fly it alone to one side after the repair.
