Good stuff marley, I'm gonna try this for lightwind jumpin, go a bit downwind to build up speed as the kite goes up towards zenith then cutback hard upwind to tension the lines.
Yup

Its fun jumping this way. If you are powered up enought, you take some speed, carve upwind and use the chop to jump with the kite still. Is the same thing you do on a sailboard to do chop hops.

As we say up here, "its breezy, mon"...

Good post but a bit garbled. Gravity bongs are the ticket! Cool breeze ta smoke.

Confusing? Naah!

Hey Marley,

I'm having a hard time relaunching my kite.

Any tips?

When you jam the board upwind real hard you can generate a small wave just infront of the board and if your kite timing coincides, you can use this small wave as a launchpad. The cable park guys get big air on flat water (with little upwards pull) using this style...add a kite and things get interesting.
