Anyone who has the lightwind bug should check out the historical chat
at the url below, this was back in 1999 and you may recognise some of
the names.
Click on the messages at the bottom to follow the chat.

Naahh,
We get some great 10-20 days and nights too, tonight should be one of them, I'll be out there with me miner's head lamp havin a whale of a time.
No, actually I was just thinkin about this LW stuff since the silly summer we had, wind was 7-9 every day, so the gears started turning, you know "Why am I sittin here if I could be kiting there?" and now I've got the gear, am learning the trade and it's great.

What did you think of the old message thread?

Jo

Jo,
if you're sitting on the Italian beach in the summer on a light wind day ... wishing u were somewhere else where you could kite....U need bleedin' shooting. I lived there for 6 years and would die to be sat amongst so much 'FIGA' once again....lucky, lucky B@%$#@D !!!!!

Hi Cap,
I agree the Italian ladies are breathtaking.
Maybe I am spoiled but I do have all the girls I want, a castrated cat, 3 beautiful Scot/Italian daughters, an ex wife, and my own private kiterbabe of course.
So I am the only one with balls around here and yes it can get a bit hairy at the wrong time of the month, go kiting every time.
Jo

the chat is great!

i know this stuff from here - everyone thought kiteboarding would close the gap between wakeboarding (0-5kts) and windsurfing (>12kts) .. ha!

and look at us now:
i don't go out until these windsurf-guys with their 8m sails and their x-tra wide boards start planning

Lightwind kitesurfing kicks ass...... it's as rare as tits on a bull in Auckland as of late... a week of 30 knots....

Get the big fat 20m out and the directional and watch those kitewakeboarders get peeved sitting on the beach!!!!

BLOWN AWAY
