ceara brazil in september?

Postby tomm » Sun Jul 25, 2004 7:03 am

Hi I'm planning on kitersurfing in ceara Brazil from september to october. I'd like some info about the conditions at that time especially in Jericoacoara - what size kite do I need etc. Also I"m interested in surfing (waves) from time to time' so I would like to know if there are waves in jeri or in the area.
A friend of mine, who wants to start kitesurfing is joining me, can he find a kiteschool anywhere near fortaleza?
So if you have any info about ceara it would be realy great.
thanks :bye:

Hi Tom

I travelled all around that area about a year ago. There is an IKO kite school in Combuco (30min north of Fort.) which is an excellent spot but there is no IKO school in Jerr. There was a guy teaching up there but is a real idiot and not safe at all.

Jerri is great for windsurfing and OK for kiting. The wind at that time will be absolutley blasting !!!!!

Hope that helps

Marcus
