just flew the new 05 12m nitro
it was blowin between 16 and 20 with chest high waves in jupiter florida and i was on the water for about 4 hours with it in these conditions
the kite is noticible smoother and lighter on the steering but one of my favorite attributes to this kite is its flater profile and wider wingtips giving the kite less drag to increase its ability to move through the window(THE KITES SPEED) and the larger wingtips increase the turning as well
the recon 2 is pretty much the same great working system with a new (LAUNCH) mode for begginers which i also tried while i was riding and worked even better then i anticipated
overall im happy with the kite and bar the only thing it needed was some hockey tape on the center of the bar where the carbon is exposed
once i added this the kite became FLAWLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i had a great session if anyone wants to know more details feel free to ask due to there being to much to write and my fingers being to lazy

Why should he be overpowerd on a 12 ?Between 16-20 knts he should be perfect to somewhat underpowerd ........In those winds I should proberly go with my 16 contra........im 165 lbs......142*37

Can you compare with the previous 12 m Cabrinha kites. 2003 and 2004 model?
I would like to know if it has more power than previous ones.

without a question it has more power
it has more torque then the previos years
the 03 kite i cant even compare it to because it is so much better
the 04 kite has just less power and is not as responsive
it also has a lighter touch then the 04
