The fin should be heelside to help with upwind edging.
Please let us know how you like the board. How's the quality of construction, etc.
Have fun!

would this center heal side fin help a wakeboard go upwind too? are there any negative aspects of this center fin?

Hi Rob,
it gives you better grip for jumping, faster grip for landings and is better for upwind.
The disadvantage is that the board isn't that loose anymore, so if you want to slide the board this middle fin is in the way.
If you attach the fin to your wake it may be a bit better, but if you need this, your board doesn't have a good shape.
Good shapes don't need an extra fin.

Ikan, how cold is the Pacific at the moment?
But at least you have warm air compared to North Europe!

don't install another middle fin!
it might help you riding toeside, but if it 'catches' while sliding, you'll get too much grip.
many riders remove their middle fins after a few weeks of practising and riding - it's an aid with some disadvantages which is not really necessary.
i'm sure that installing a toeside-middlefin would be a waste of work, time and money.

Bitch!
Do you want to know what saukalt is?
we have 4 degrees water and 6 degrees air!!!
But who cares, it is just a matter of the clothing (mask, gloves, shoes, thick neopren and vest). It works and is ok, better then sitting at home and watching all these nice pictures from around the globe (specially the Maldives)!!!
Guys, keep on kiting whenever you can!
