Hi everyone!

I am looking for a nice lowwind 2nd kite besides my Aero 12. I was thinking about a X2 16 or 18. I am an intermediate kiter with 73 kg, 180 and 150 TT. Windrange 3bft and up.

Or maybe wait for Aero2? I just thought that a 16 or 18 X2 might turn better than a Aero2?

Thanks A lot for your help!!

The aero 2 won't turn any worse than a X2... I say that because when ever a kite comes out, be it high, medium or low aspect they never perform worse than the last kite by that manufacturer... for example:

Aero 1 was better than ARX.
Toro was better than Rhino1

Proof in the pudding is alot of the team riders competed on aero's and toro's.

I'd bet that you will have more fun on an aero2 than you will on an x2...

The Aero2 actually turns better than the X2. I know it's shocking, but true. At the Naish dealer show they sent dealers out on the slow turn setting.

Aero2 18 would the best match for you.

I use an AERO 20 along with my 12m X2.... there is a slight gap but that's only because the X2 hasn't got a good bottom end....

Get the AERO II for your big kite....

The AERO's are far more user friendly than the X2's... and WAY WAY easier to relaunch!!!

Thanks for your replies!

Looks like it's a 3:0 win for the Aero2 so far.
Doesn't the X2 have any advantages over the Aero2 (besides it's design maybe)? Could the X2 maybe give you more fun once you get to an higher advanced level?

Probably hard to tell since the Aero2s haven't really been out long enough for serious testing, no?

But I guess kites are like computers. Once your Aero2's tubes are filled with air for the very first time, the X3 or else will be launched and the Aero2 will be one boring old bag...

Have a nice weekend!

I sail aero 2 and X2...'

From 14 and down the X2 is still the king off those two.

But the low end off the aer2 in big sizes and the fast..(VERY) tuning is the best.

(This is for advance riders, not newbies.!)

The advantage of the X2 is it's jumping ability... that's really what it's designed for as are all high AR kites.... designed for experts...
