That's just TOO funny. So basically, they confused East and West, found the sea and ended up kitesurfing instead. It may take them a while to cross the Sahara. I shall be checking in daily.

I hope someones doing a documentary on this ...
I can't wait for them to get 2 days into the desert and run out of Ice, confuse sand with water and start shitting eggshells.
Pure genius, well done Monty Python, nice disguises....

Day3:
Already they are complaining about the heat and soft sand.
Do these clowns know what they are doing?
Day4:
It's cool, they're sorted. They got a backup 4x4 and drive to the good spots

Ermm... <cough>
Am I readin this right? I'm thinking they don't want to go anywhere near the desert.
Day 1
Start: Nouakchott, capital of Mauritania.
Ultimate destination: Saint Louis on the coast just inside the border of Senegal (South! of start)
Objective: About a 400km trip to TranSahara!!?
...
Day 4
Boutilimit: They are already about 150km ESE of Nouakchott (just a short car ride
)
These guys are trying to avoid the Sahara aren't they... not that I mind, I'm already a fan.
This just makes it better!
