THe X2 12.0 is the ultimate weapon ,i tried the rhino 2 10 and is way slower than the x2,mabe for the 8.0 a better choice will be the aero 2

In response to previous poster who says Rhino II is slower than x2, I have Rhino II 10m and it moves plenty fast. Don't think I would want my kite to move any faster in the wind ranges I use it in (18-25+ knots). Have gotten biggest jumps ever with this kite, and it has great control when you are in the air.

You need to collect all the information you can on how these kites are different, then decide which kite suits your style.

When mr. anonymous says the x2 is best because it turns the fastest, that must suit his style. Not everybody judges the best kite by how fast it turns. He could be a first year kiter who sine flys his kite, or he could be a real light weight guy. Light weight guys make fast kites look SLOW.

Here is what I know.

The Aero2 turns as fast as the X2. The Aero2 should be a kite that parks and rides earlier than the x2. The Aero2 is higher aspect now, so jumps should be much better and easier than last year.

The Rhino2 turns fast enough for any weight rider, but probably still not as feather light on the bar as some kites. North riders don't like kites with no feel at the bar when doing tricks.

The x2 you should already know about. Very fast, soon to be replaced by the x3, which I personally think will have more low end power. I have that opinion because all the other 2002 kites that were fast, with poor low end, have had their power increased in 2003.

Dwight.. I was waiting for these magic letters to pop out : "X3" .. have you heard anything about it, or is it just a (well justified) guess at this stage?

In answer to 8 vs 12, I think we will soon find out that 2003 kites will allow to go to the 1-kite-quiver (economical) dream. At least, that's what Mach2 is promising (one would wonder why, this could cut their sales by 40-50%!)

cheers.

The Naish Red Bull press release talked about the x3.

I don't think manufacturers need to worry about a 1 kite quiver. Many of the new kites give you a huge wind range. But it is still more fun to ride a kite which matches the conditions.

Almost everybody will start with a one kite quiver and end up with a 2 or 3 kite quiver... Even if each kite gives a 15 knot wind range.

Best regards,

Marc

I have the x14 proto type. Is is going to go into production in 2007. You can use the 30 meter kite in 10 to 35. You can jump 35 feet. The bladders form an inflatable doll when not in use......

Slingshot Fuel 2003!
Range like the Mach3 but constant power like the Toro or Aero and better build quality.
The downpoint is the price.....

Personally I think I'll wait for the X14... sounds like a great kite

Although I still think the 2010 C Quad is gonna be THE kite.
