 :offtopic: Sorry Toby. I guess aside from the fact that you make yourself smell "delicious" to the men in gray suits, urine can't be good for the wetsuit. Look at any metal around urinals that regularly gets splattered. If it's been there long, you can actually see that it corrodes. I'm not sure of the chemical reaction with neoprene, but it doesn't seem like a good idea. Not to mention it starts to stink after awhile.
SO, I used to, but won't again. Probably not. :decision:

pee'd once in my wet suit, then used 100% bleach to clean it, now the crotch area is white. Naw, just kidding. :)

Which leads me to ask, how about a wet suit with Orca whale black and white graphics? Would that be cool or what?

Besides the shark hazzard, another problem is, if you don't rince well enough, then hang the wetsuit outside at home to dry, all the cats in the neighbourhood will take turns pissing on your suit. They take it as a territorial challenge.

That's why i carry a 5 gal jug of water in the car, if no showers, then I rince the wet suit really well after taking it off.

Another angle to the Shark - piss relationship, I criuzed over a 10-15ft Bullshark one day near Destin, (sightings confirmed that week in the local paper), and that made me piss my pants.

Thats what I said, I have been using my winter suit for almost four seasons (Its a Niel Pryde) I pee in the suit on a regular basis unfortunately, it is not showing any sign of deterioration.

I always, but always rinse it out in clean water.

I feel a bit of guilt coming on here so an excuse seems in order. I do drink a fair amount of water on the beach. Took me a long time to learn and the resulting wipeouts meant lots of sea water being swallowed so more fresh water gets drunk and seems peeing just happens when you drink water.

Now at the age of 62, my doctor put my on duiretic's because I am a statistical risk with slightly raised blood pressure. Of course they make you pee even more.

Seems if I lived in the USA they wouldnt treat me because I am not a risk in their book.

I do however get high blood pressure when I see sharks, loose my car keys, rip my kite, tread on dog-shit and a whole host of other things.

Here in the USA, they make a bottle of stuff called "Stink-out" or "Sting-b-gone" or something like that. Just put some of it in a bucket of water, then soak the wetsuit in it. I don't know what's in it, but it does the trick pretty well.

Simon, good for you that you opened up to, "Piss like a horse in it"

I think that sort of takes the prize for description and honesty. "Proper bloke" as they say in Yorkshire. (Smile)

Lewis, I cant believe all this is a joke. I figure you did poop your wetsuit once, here is another old saying, "More than an ounce of truth is spoken in jest".

Must have been a bastard cleaning out your suit. Does your mum know about this one?

Mind you, probably your mum cleaned your suit. Bet she will be glad when you leave home (Smile)
