habedieehre from vienna!
I have to renew my footpads. I´d like to customize or shape myself the pads.
so i need some advice: PLEASE!!!
what material are good footpads made of?
for top surface layer and for bottom padding?
where can the raw material be bought?
(preferably in europe for shipping & customs reasons)
what glue? how to glue them on to the board
thanks in advance for info

Try a sleeping mat, bought from a camping / outdoors shop. Get the heavy duty stuff, not the light foam. Cut to shape, and stick on with contact adhesive. This is the really smelly stuff, that you paint onto both surfaces, wait to dry and then put together. It sticks immediately, so you don't get a chance to slide the pad about. One 2 metre mat should keep you in footpads for life!

Some free mouse pads are quite good.
But not all.
Some are quite thick.
