Just read in the last issue of the UK mag 'kitesurf' where they mention 're-ride system' in their tests of new kites. However it's not explained how it works (should be a leash/line system that prevents line-tangling).
Does anyone know what it's all about?

maybe it is the system how Flysurfer's quick release works.
If you use the quick release it opens up and you get out of the hook and let the bar go to use the safety system. Some systems can't be put together again, so you have to swim in. Flysurfer's quick release can be put together and then you can ride again.
maybe that's what they ment.

It is mentioned in the Windtech Quantum test, that the Re-ride system will be fitted as standard in production. Also in the Aero-test they were disapointed that Naish didn't supply with Re-ride system?
Could it be, like you mention about Flysurfer Toby, that it's just a rope that connects the steering lines, like we saw on the early pictures of the Aero? Would that prevent tangling?
Maybe I should try calling Kitesurf Mag to ask.

the rope connecting the steering lines is IMO for the relaunch. At least Flysurfer did it for the restart.
But go ahead and ask the Mag. I would send an e-mail. Then you can copy and paste the text in the forum for us to know, too.

I have Ken Winner Longhorn bars which use the re-ride system. Unlike conventional bars, the wrist leash attaches rider's side of the bar to one of the back lines. If you let go of the bar, it will shoot up the back line, thus instantly depowering the kite. You can then retrieve the bar and off you go. It is very rare to see any line tangles using this system. (Note that you can't use a conventional leader line system on this back line or the bar won't run up the line far enough) If you have it look at the section in How to Rip Harder on bars - it shows it there.
