I voted + had to check never....only because I've never had the opportunity to try one...

This spring while in Hatteras, I"m hoping to try a kite with a 5 line to see what the rage is about...i can see some pro's + con's....

Hopefully after flying one, I'll be able to make a better decision on which way to go in terms of replacing some aero's + aero's 2...

Do this poll again in a year time :o
Most 2005 kites that come standard with 5Th E still have to arrive....

I never have tied the 5th on water, but on snow I use a 5th line, but its on the trailing edge, not a real 5th. On water I just dont need the hassle, I dont hardly ever drop my kite.

on the top of the thread should be an overview and you can click a selection.

If not, I don't know!

Sure,we can do the poll again next year. But it would be interesting to see it now and then again in one year to see a change.

I voted never, as this is the fact. However I think if I had a location where drifting up to a beach wasnt an option I might think about it. In fact this winter I might think about it, purely for relaunch ease.

Since i was offered a 5th line kit with my new mach III 12 ,i just tried it, and noticed it worked great : relaunch is easier, restart after pulling the release as well and kite behaves better, just a great feature :thumb:

I adapted it to my 16 and it has the same good advantages, just too bad i can't adapt it to my small V4.....

aloha :bye:
