Y E S !!!
it´s obviously a matter of interest.
Although i have an Anemometer and regularly base my decisions on my measurements and weatherforcasts, i was asked for Kitesizes on the water several times and even found myself taking digital pictueres of Kites, zooming in on the monitor to get the Kitesize...

This is my first post on this site
My vote is to post the kite size.
It will definitely help those riggin' up
to see what size kites are out there.
Another suggestion:
Make boards a really bright,
un-natural color so they are easy to spot when
separated from the board.
George.

IMHO if you are not able to choose for your self, there is a problem.
What do you do when you are first on the beach?
wait until other guys come look at them and go?
what do you do when you arrive on a beach, everybody is already riding, you can read the size of the kites but don't know what board they are ridding, their weight,...
do you wait for the guys to come back and ask?
learn to read the wind, it's much safer

of course it doesn't help the one being first on the beach.
But if you come alone, one guy on the water, riding like you, and you are an intermediate and not that sure, and have to selflaunch, I would be happy as hell seing what another guy on the water uses and if he is under or overpowered.
It will help a lot, also me, since I always ask what everyone is using, being able to judge my sizes as well, but I do it.
It's a small step for companies and a big step for customers.

Haha,
Ok so we have:
- Big numbers on the kites,
- Rider's shirt with weight,
- Board size....
- Rider skills....
what about a flag in the left back line for board size and a flag in the right back line for rider skills.. for example:
yellow; beginner level / big board 150+ cm
blue; medium level / medium board 120 - 150 cm
red; pro level / small board <120 cm
so all combinations are possible.....
Personally i don't care.
When i'm first at the beach i feel the wind and know what to put on, doubting.. i take my windmeter. still doubting: i first take a smaller kite.
Not first at the spot: look and take the time for a chat!!! -- communicate--
If you're new just ask advice, everyone will give it we all love to talk about our sport (if not then something is wrong i guess...)

Janus: you are right
I am 1/2 year on thhis sport ( Lucky ) to live near Tarifa and have the chance to practice and learn ones or twice a week cause we allways have wind ( almost ) and the weather helps a lot
Everytime I hit the beach looking arround tryind to figure out which kite I should take hummmmm ok not easy so I ask the first guy I see but weight and also style ( new wave style people use a smaller kite cause the use wave boards ) and you ask 3 people and get 3 answers so at the end take my wind meter and try.....and some how with the time you get a feeling how strong the wind is....
I have 3 kites very strong wind 9 normal 13 light 17 no wind shit. go home.
