What's the Best Kiteboarding Cross Over Sport?

in terms of fun or cross-training?

if you do one of the above sports, which sport gets you going on the kite faster?

Any other type of kite flying! Being able to control the kite very well and feel where it's at lets you concetrate on board skills.

After that, snowboarding I guess....whole edge thing...

Surfing for sea knowledge.

You tend to recognise rips, reefs, rocks, people, tides and have that surfer mentality that all help.

Already have wind knowledge, ocean, weather.
Know principles of planing, edging.

then Wakeboarding or paragliding/power kite flying.

Wakeboarders do excellent as beginners but sometimes have difficultly with kite. Paragliders/power kite flyers do excellent as well, but sometimes have difficultly getting on board of they have no boardsports background.

Tennis

i have seen a lot of poeple learn how to snowkite over the last three years and the more skilled snowboaders learn faster than anyone, at least compared to windsurfers and wakeboarders. it still depends more on the person rather than their skill because i have seen people that are good at everything they do but they still just cant grasp the concept of how the wind, kite, and board work together.

I always recomend wakeboarding to my students, specially if they have no prior water knowledge.
The other disciplines sure help as well but none is as close to kiting as wakeboarding.
Flying a toy two line kite would be first on the list, but not listed.
