Hi Josh,
I have never seen seated boards or similar. I just can guess it is going to be difficult as if you don't stand on your legs you will hardly resist to the force of the kite and you will be dragged downwind at the end.
Anyway may be sombody knows something more
Goof Luck

well, as far as i know, peter lynn has a water-buggy.
he also has a 'kiteboat':

there's another kiteboat on the market, but i forgot the url. it's based on a cat with a turnable control-section where the kite is fixed.
but it's more like sailing ...

Sometimes I go kite-kayaking with my kite and kayak. I use a 2 mts Slingshot trainer, or an old Wipika 6.5, depending on the kayak and the conditions.
As a kayak has no edges, its not possible to go up wind, but I can sail pretty fast on a beam reach. I paddle up wind and then go back with the kite.
It’s very fun, and I assume I have the world speed record for a kayak!!!
If he knows how to fly a small kite, he will be able to sail with it in a kayak.

Adolfo, when going upwind, how do you hold the kite if we're paddling?

I pack it.
When I use the trainer (foil), I let it go from the cockpit with two little reels at the ends of the bar.
For the Wipika, I usually need a beach to set it up.
In the two line set up, it can be inflated on board, and waterlaunched, but it’s not easy. I only use that kite in a tandem sit on top kayak so I have somebody to help.
