the first picture shows the quick release from solid being closed like you use to ride in.
this picture shows the release being pulled to get out of the loops
Here is another system where the safety leash is attached to the hook so you still have the kite attached to you with the safety

I already heard that the release on top doesn't work 100%, because it has a 90 degrees angle which causes the loop not to slide out under pressure.

The Picture Toby posted looks QUITE different from the one on the Solid Webpage!
In the configuration above it should work if the upper picture shows it closed!
The one on the page can't!
