Out of all places in the world I might have to be in MN till end of Spring.
Anyone snowkites there? Any other kiters around that area?
Thanks for any pointers and no laughing on my misfortune!
Cheers,
Vangelis

Vangelis, RedBull Kitefreeze is held up there. There's definitely places to kitesnowboard in Minnesota.

Thanks V - Any more info on the northern parts of the state? There are a few lakes and it seems that it blows frequently.

There are some hope sparkles in the horizon.

Hey! I am from Minnesota and resent the comments!

Actually, I know what you mean, it can be pretty boring there sometimes, thats why I am now in Puerto Rico. I would say that any frozen lake would work pretty good. There was supposed to be a competition this year on Lake Minnetonka in Bloomington. I think it was cancelled but I am not sure why. I would imagine there is probably some guys riding out there on a windy day.

Or you can always go to the Mall of America!

I just remembered that there was a guy down here from MN and he said there is a lot of guys riding in Lake Pepin. It is along the Mississippi river in the southeast portion of the state. I guess it has kindof a gorge effect.

good luck!
