I would think that going back in time kinda negates itself doesn't it?
Example - My dog dies because I left the agte open and it runs into the road. So I go back in time and close the gate. This means that the dog does not die, so now in the future I do not need to go back and change things which means that I did not go back and close the gate which means the the dog now does die, which means that I again in the future I need to go back and close the gate ....... and the circular reasoning goes on and on!
