Hey, just because you and your airhead chum got shafted, doesn't mean it happens in my camp..

I really dont have anything to do with running S2AS, having a financial interest in something as a minority stakeholder and running it are entirely different things.

If I were running it, there really wouldn't be Air-rush, Flexi, Cabrinha and certainly no North Kites in the store, as it is, they are all in there, along with Naish now or so I understand..

As I said and repeat one more time. I have nothing to do with Surface to Air sports other than as listed in the information you clearly haven't disseminated that well from your naive visit to companies house.

And hey one last time.

What the f*** has it got to do with you anyway?

Your fired remember?

Dont come calling for any more references, they wont be as rosy in future...

If you were in the position of your dealers, would you be happy knowing your supplier was co owner, and a competitor who offers to beat their prices?

The same stuff happens here in the US. A shop owner with three brands is a dealer rep for one brand, a big shop on the east coast is a distributor for multiple brands and another shop is owned by a major distributor. There is some channel conflict but not enough to force change.

It would be beneficial for me the end-user if the everything was cleaner, but it is not and it is understandable given the size and maturity of the sport.

The strong prosper and the weak complain.

just do it

Being a shop and distributor isn't really a problem in itself.
I think there is only a problem when the distributor undercuts his shops which seems to be the case in the above mentioned posts.
Denying any involvement in retail when you are a distributor is a little stupid though as it makes it look like someones got something to hide.
If there is a known discounter that shops have a problem competing with and it then turns out to be the distributor who has a share in this shop then maybe the other shops should think about their involvement with stocking such a brand.
If no discounting is going on then everybody should be happy as they have a level playing field on wich to compete on.

sven, i agree with you completely, i don't think anyone has any issues with shops that are first to stock a brand, becoming the distributor for a brand, that's entirely natural and is good for the brand and the buyers of that kit as they get someone in charge who really knows the product.

anyone who looks at what you've done with flysurfer in the uk can see it works.

a distributor buying into a shop is a different matter though.

and especially when they choose to skirt around answering simple questions about their involvement with that retailer once people begin to question the competitiveness of that dealer against other dealers who stock the distributors product.

anyway enough said.... like the saying goes, people who live in glass houses....
