today I went out and had to notice that you see many North kites. These kites are really good, no doubt, but is this just a local phenomenon or did you notice the same?

Toby-

Here in Dewey Beach,( close to Washington DC) you can see a mix of Naish, Wipika and North. It seems that the Naish and Wipika are probably older version. I am getting a North as well.

since the season in Germany just starts, I will give updates on this issue. We might see on stronger wind days more North and in lighter days more Cabrinha CO2 and Aeros.
This will be interesting to watch.
Also if we will see many X2 kites around when they are available.
Didn't see any Takons yet, but after what I have heard about it this will change.
