Just saw this info:
Colona Watersports is the name, this due to the company association with
Colona Dive Centers that has been operating for many years in Egypt.
The doors will open at the Magawish Hotel in Hurghada on June 1 and we are
having about 35 Naish kites on the way including X2's in various sizes.
Further we have some 15 Flysurfers coming as well. 20 Boards from Naish
including the the new 4.9 TT and the 4.8 Flash Mutant and wakeboards are
ordered as well as TT's and Trays from Underground. Total of 35 - 40 boards.
In our shop you will be able to find all sorts of spare parts and
accessories including harnesses, footstraps, and rashguards from Dakine as
well as clothing, board shorts and waterpants from Ultra Nectar.
Storage and cleaning for private gear will be available as well as full time
rescue.
We are also going to be afiliated with IKO http://www.ikorg.com (International
Kiteboarding Organisation) and teach according to their standards. We will
arrange Instructor Training Courses twice yearly, the first one already now
in June. IKO seems to be a pretty good thing with stricts standards and
safety procedures. They are parnters with AKSA and BKSA today and are at the
moment negotiating with VDWS as well.
So, as you can see it will be a pretty nice set-up and I hope that we get
many European kiteboarders. Windsurfing will not be very big at ours, we will
teach beginner courses but we leave the advanced stuff to the people that
have been doing it for long and that are doing it well. This gives us the
advantage of not too many windsurfers on our waters.
