I'm curious about the 4'6" twintip. The price is pretty good, but they do look heavy and thick. Is this a good highwind board?

they are way heavy, i'm not dissing the boards but the construction is leaden compared to this years boards.

but we'll see how many of this years boards snap before we cart the nasih boards off to the bin.

my mate dave has one, and he's quite hefty and rates his tt, and he's not prone to trumpet blowing, so they must be decent, heavy boards.

I have 5'2" TT, have used for 3 months. I'm a relative novice so cant comment on high performance issues. This board is bullet proof, I give it a hard time and its hardly scratched. Its a little heavy compared to a custom tray . In a breeze and chop its great and holds an edge well (I'm 72 kg) and when you stand on the tail it seems to slow down OK and stay in control. In the light I think it has a little much rocker but I can still use it at my weight. It is my only board. Cant comment on performance in the surf but it has lots of rocker. Overall I'm very happy with it for my level of kiting.

Try one BEFORE you buy one. I know of two people who bought 2003 Naish TTs and sold them already. One guy switched to the North TT, and another switched to a Wave Tray. Both guys are kicking themselves for having wasted money on boards they really didn't like. I hate to write such stuff, but these guys really felt strongly enough about it to buy new boards again after having already bought these Naish TTs. The guy that bought the North said the Naish beat his guts out with its ruff ride. The guy that bought the Wave Tray never said why.

I had a naish 5ft 2", that I changed for Airush switch 149. The naish worked well in powered up conditions, but lacked bottom end range. The weight of the naish boards will be heavy cause they have heel reinforcing on both sides of the board, as compared to TT that are set up to be ridden from one side only.
The naish 5ft 2" & 4ft 6" are the best, they ride smooth, but need powered up conditions, the Airush Switch design by Jimmy Lewis has the most range of any board Ive tried in gusty conditions.
