What do you do with your stuff when you do a downwinder? Does the kite caddy take it back somewhere? (like the ktie bag)

When you do the downwinder to Encuentro?????

He deflates the LE only wraps your harness around your kite (That is now rolled into a nice taco) and takes it back for you in a motorcycle.

While you just chill and watch the sunset with a couple of beers before heading back!

We normally start at the kiteschool at Kitebeach where we can leave things like the pump. Than do the downwinder to Encuentro and walk home (we have apartments at Encuentro and live there also). Sometimes we also take a group of people who stay in our apartments to La Boca (where the lagune ends in the ocean) and than one of us takes everybody's stuff like pumps and bags back in the car. From Encuentro, the people walk back to their apartment, or we pick them up.

Chantal

I thought I'd dig up this topic since I'm planning a trip to Cabarete in march.

I've got lots of questions about Cabarete but what I'm most curious about right now are the kiteshops. I need a new board (second hand) and some clothing (lycras, pants). What kind of pricerange can I expect?
As you probably can understand I'm looking for a bargain, I'd rather buy a cheap board that's been beaten up a bit than pay 800 $ for a brand new. So tell me tell me, where to look!

Hi Petter,

Second hand board are better to buy directly from persons, in stead of a shop. Cheaper I think. If you are looking for a board around 1,59, we have something for you very cheap. If you look for something else, just ask around here at the kiteschools if they know anybody. Normally you should find something. Lycra's here are around the same price as in Europe. Shorts are cheaper. In Cabarete you can find nice ones for around 13 or 14 US$, in Puerto Plata already for 6 or 7 US$.

Good luck and have fun here!
