i had the t-foikl and like all other small 1 meter trainer kites it will only fly properly if it's blowing at least 12 mph i'd get a 2-3 meter

Get something at least 2m's in size...better feel for the power. Ones I like(and we carry of course) are the HQ Rush 200 or the Ozone Imp. The HQ is around 2m's in size and the Imp is around 3m's in size. Pictures and prices at: http://www.oceanextremesports.com/catal ... Path=21_39
But the bottom line is any trainer kite is better than no trainer kite...

I didn't really like the T-foil, you pretty much get what you paid for it. It feels and seems built like a play kite, not a power kite trainer.

It is good for kids; I'd started out with the the Best 3m trainer, but that was too much for the 6-7 year olds to handle.

For grownups I'd get a 3m or slightly bigger They're small enough to act as trainers if you don't go out in really high winds, and big enough to be fun in high winds - when it's blowing and you can't get to the water, just flying the big trainer is surprisingly fun, so it's not a wasted purchase after you've learned to kite.

I think this comment is right on - had the t-foil out yesterday in light and variable winds (< 10mph) and it did not fly properly. It was very skittish and hard to keep in the air even when the wind did blow, while the 3m Best trainer was doing fine. The t-foil just doesn't feel like a power kite.
