Any other sports so full of industry losers?

Postby ian c » Tue Jan 31, 2006 9:20 pm

Is it just lack of money/small market in the industry that leads to industry posters slagging each others products EVERYDAY on this forum or just that some or part of the posting 'industry' are 'takers' and not real kiters?

I just say this cos I know a couple of other similar board industries and they are in competition and competitive but don't spend time bleeting shit about each other cos they came into the industry from riding for many years together- which has obvoiusly led to a healthy rider (life rider - not dabbler) controlled industry - and hence none of this kind of crap. - i try to ignore it but it clogs up the good information and simply gives the impression to newbies, or whoever else, that many kitesurfers are insecure Guys that care more about the 'penis extension' effects of their equipment than actually stomping some new moves while riding with friends....

Guys we just gotta face it kitesurfers are all Guys.
In all other boardsports in water you have to percevere work hard practise
very much to get anywhere (surfing, windsurfing).
Kitesurfing is just to easy ,it opens the door to posers, wannabe's and all kinds of other human flotsam, and then there is of course this forum, which doesn't realy help in keeping the soaplevel in check.
But then again its nice to read what everybody has got to say,and the posts of the industry are all a bonus, don't forget these guys are trying to make a living.

I'd say solo flyt's post is right-on the money

Kiting is so easy that Guys and nobs can become heros...

or rockstars if you'd like...

Back in the day you needed hard work, and a bit o' talent to earn a spot in the line-up...

Today,,,any dip-shit can send a kite...

Kiting is too easy for its own good...good post, good point...,

Regards
fo

.

Not sure about everyone here, but on our local forum we all slag each other, and do the brand bashing thing, but we're all friends and when we ride together nobody really cares who's on what...

It seems to be just an internet thing.... :thumb: :bye:
