i bought used kites to start with... same as i learned on. bought 'last years kite' before the year was even over, which was getting dumped for next years latest and greatest before next year was even here. (??) great way to build quiver and decide what is what.

now, i've sold those used kites to buy next years latest and greatest.

gk sonics for me. til next year maybe... depends on what mood i'm in.

same with all my toys... i keep trading up. it's nice to get something new and learn something new.

now, off to play with my new (this years) snowboard.

This year's kite will be the 2006 North Vegas. The kite turns on a dime and has a huge range. For a review go to http://www.eastcoastkiteboarding.com

HI! :bye:
I’m a kite instructor since ´99, and I never tried something like a bow.
It’s the perfect kite for rookies; the most safety kite in the market, the same student can ride with the same kite in different conditions and for me works very good too. :P

I have a SB and a C type, and I got more fun with the SB, because I don’t have to put it down if the wind change, I just pull the bar, and continue my riding!!

 Lampu, have you ever teach? Maybe you have to try it well, you ´ll find it perfect for novice and medium levels. And it works very well in surf riding. Of course is your preference, but you can’t say that is not a safe kite, if you say that maybe is because you didn’t try it a all.

Hi

Can anyone give me details and pics of the 3 following kites as i have no knowledge of this and am interested to find out.

The 3 kites are FOIL, C KITE. BOW KITE.

If possible please send pics and the names with pics and which is the better one to start kitesurfing with, also if you want you can throw in a bit of information for each kite.

looking forward to reply.

Hi,

no question: after i have tried the FS PULSE in size 10 i will surely buy one.
Massive depower-fastest turning speed-very good for unhooked-zero drag safety

Greets,

Otti

Hey guys,
Have you notice the little wind range of the Vegas6 12m?? :?:
If you are a novice level, 13knts to 16??? This is a wind range?? No
If you are interm. or advan., 13 to 22knts, come on!!! :x :x
If you are expert, 13 to 24, know we are talking :thumb:
This data I took it from, http://www.northkites.com/index.cfm

With a bow 12 you have from 12knts to 30knts of wind range, and that is true!!! Because I have one.
My weight is 80kg, I have a 130cm board and I have a Switchblade 12m, and my old C shape 16,5m. I have 7 years of experience.
Sometimes with my Contra, I ride with 12knts and it’s really fun. But in some conditions I have to pull it down with 20 or less knts.
In the other hand my Switchblade 12 I tried it from the same 12knts, and in another occasion I tried it with 28knts with gust of 30knts, and I couldn’t believe it, it was one of the best ridings.

For example another interesting thing, my wife weight 55kg, and she is starting right now in kite surfing, when I’m with the Contra, she is with the SB, and believe me she is not in dangerous situations in a 16knts day, or a little more.

Come one guys, what are you saying?? BOW kites are the next generation!! :thumb: :bye:
