OCEANUS REEL 2002 MODEL
THE NEXT GENERATION KITE SURFING REEL LEASH!

In April of 2001 Oceanus Technologies Incorporated and North Shore
Incorporated entered into a US distribution agreement. North Shore
Incorporated, a water sports equipment provider for over 13 years has been
offering the Kite Surfing adaptation of the original Oceanus REEL leash
system.

After testing the Oceanus Retractable Energy Enhanced Leash an agreement was
signed and The REEL went on the NSI web site. In their first six months North
Shore sold over 1000 REELS, and the feedback has been great!

Now we are happy to introduce our NEW 2002 MODEL KITE REEL! Our 2002 model
has a new design with numerous strength upgrades specifically tailored to
better meet the demands of the sport! You can see the New 2002 REEL on the
North Shore, Inc. website.

In the US the Oceanus REEL may be purchased from your local Kite equipment
provider, or from North Shore Inc. In South Africa Suntrax is the place to
go, France it's Radicals and in the United Kingdom check out Whitesable
Windsurfing. The REEL is available in over 16 other countries as well. For
the best price, International dealer inquiries should contact Oceanus
Technologies Incorporated.

Kiters are GETTING REEL due to the radical reduction of the slingshot effect
when they load up the leash. THE REEL does not drag through the water or get
caught up in kelp, effecting how the board moves. It doesn't flop around in
the air becoming tangled on the rider or the board. It doesn't get tangled in
the feet. It has a convenient one-hand connector. And THE REEL has a much
greater tensile strength than the old style plastic cords.

The Oceanus REEL has taken retractable technology, in existence since 1927,
and adapted it to a saltwater environment, with the ocean sports enthusiast
in mind.
The Oceanus REEL is the Original! Don't settle for anything less!

Current International wholesale prices available through OCEANUS
TECHNOLOGIES, INC. San Diego, California, USA

I just bought one and I love it. you should all get one. the cool thing is, if you want to try a trick where you might get nailed by the board, you just disconnect the reel leash. And when you are done, you just reconnect it no problem.

Hi Andres,

these reels are great.
but I don't suggest using a board leash at all. It is no problem to get your board back and nothing will be in your way.
It maybe good in bigger waves, since if you loose it it may be already at the beach while your are still fighting with the waves

Toby,
I use it at my local lake because the winds are light, and getting back to the board is a hassle in these winds. And I also use it in the ocean where there are waves, because as soon as I fall, i want to get back on my board as quick as possible and get out of the breaker zone.

I didn't see any here yet, but I saw the ones from Flysurfer, who already sell them since 6 month and it works without a problem.

Cheers

They look the same (Flysurfer and NSI) I bet flysurfer buys them from NSI. I think they are too expensive. (100 euro is price of one flysurfer!).
