F-one Tribal vs RRD Type 7 vs North Vegas 06

Postby j1finnn1 » Mon Feb 20, 2006 12:19 am

All 3 are hi-depower c kites(if you include t 7 with wave bar)

has anyone tried more than one of these kites for comparison? Curious about
-low end
-hi end
-bar press
-stability
-turning
-construction

I can only talk about the T7 RRD. I have tried 9, 12 and 15. I get rid of the 12 because there where a lot of overlap between those kites wind ranges.

Type 7 15 using a Type wave 2 bar:

-low end: same as with the free style bar, 11 knots aprox.

-hi end: never get to that limit, when more than 18 I take the 9, but over 25+ knots for sure... when you extend your arms the kite lose almost all the power.

-bar press: Very, very low... if you use the freestyle bar is very low as well but it get a little harder when you approach the hi end.

-stability: very good

-turning: the fastest turning kite I have ever tried in each size. Though the Type wave is as fast as the type 7 if not faster.

-construction: Excellent, the main pro is the segmented LE. Those little segments make a hard, stable, and very rounded leading edge. And every little piece of the canopy could be easily repaired with little cost.

Now, this is not the perfect kite for everyone, I have to add what is the main flaw of this kite: It jumps a lot, but it has poor hang time. It doesn´t glide like other hi aspect kites out there. But anyway it is not intended for flying and old school tricks but for wakestyle and power moves.

Go with F-one it is the bomb super fast turning very good hang time and 100% depower. Also very low bar pressure. :thumb:

F-one tribal

Personal opinion, the F-one tribal is the nuts, better than the North Vegas in every respect. waiting to try it out as http://www.allgoodfun.com have demo tribals in stock.
more depower, very fast in the air, big jumps everything about a C kite and a Bow kite in one.

I Tryed a Tribal 8m las monday, I liked very much. It was gust wind up to 31 kt. It's very fast, stable with full depower and the lifeline is safe.

I tryed a Tribal 15m too, It fell smooth, fast and light pressure on the bar.

But I couldn't tryed the rest of kites.

Tried the 9mtr, 11mtr and 13mtr, they whole range seem to be just nothing short of awesome !!, as you say depower, lifeline are more than i expected, think i may have a whole quiver of Tribals - just got to decide on the colours.
