Hai out there,

if you are looking for a nice place to go snowkiting, that is easy and fast to reach, is wide and flat, has a lot of wind most of the time, always enough snow, ...

Go to Laax /Flims ( last station before the T-bar lift, Vorab Glacier 2500 m )

Only ten minutes from the Highway-to Chur.

The only problem is, you have to buy a ticket for the complete day. But we already negotiate with some responsible persons to stop this. Perhaps we will succeed.

Greetings

Your Paraflysurf Team

Hi dude

As you might know, I'm a very active Laax snowkiter.

For me, the ticket issue is no problem, because I have the Top-Card

One question, though, with whom are you in contact with? I'm a bit scared because of safety issues. I saw guys kiting on the slopes instead of the wide area away from the slopes and one let his kite come down pretty near the T-bar lift.

Maybe we could work on some "rules" or big sign for everyone on the Vorab?

What do you think?

Fly safe!

Hai Robin,

sorry but I dont know you !!

I am very interested in safety !

I try to make my pupils responsible kiters, that have a look at other kiters and all people around. I teach them all about safety and give them a good education in handling for the kite.

I must admit, I dont like the idea of rules on a kiting spot. Lets wait for what the future brings. I hope there will be more responsible pilots with a good education in kiting.

What is a TOP card ?

I never heard about it. We tried to convince the responsible person, I dont know his name,
that kiters should be allowed to go up with a one trip ticket, Kite around all day, and go down with the board or skies.

Is this a TOP Card ???

Greetings

Manfred

Nice picture, if you let me do, I will put in on my homepage !!

I was just over in Engelberg, west of Chur and no snow below 1800 m. They have a nice large valley too free of cliffs, cables and other snow hazards. It was all green when I was there unfortunately. Brought the Blade along and everything. Congratulations on finally getting some snow! It really came down well about a week ago at the lower altitudes. I will try to check out the area around Chur next year!

Good snowkiteboarding!

Ah, no the Top-Card is the season-ticket for Laax and Klosters/Davos.

Anyway, I just do quick 15-30 minute sessions on the Vorab. Then I'm done and ready to hit the slopes (or off-slopes) again...

I'm just a bit worried that they could say: "Kiting forbidden". Because this is my "home" spot in winter.
