Phillipines bound

Postby kstalker » Wed Jul 05, 2006 9:01 am

I'm based in Christchurch NZ where we are blessed with alot of consistent onshore over the summer and am now heading to the Phillipines for 3 weeks over Christmas.

Have read about Borocay which sounds fantastic and am also looking to go to Palawan Island. Has anybody any experience kiting any where other than Borocay in the Phillipines that they wiould like to share?

Cheers

Philippines has heaps of islands, but access to some may not be the best and you'll be kiting alone.
Siargo has swells and waves from January but isn't for the faint hearted and no hope of any rescue boats. Viryually no Philippinos kite and so to findd someone kiting other than Boracay is impossible.
Boracay has a few spots nearby also if you fancy travelling for the day.
But with a great spot loads of accomodation and cheap partying its hard to move from there when you touch down.

Cheers for that.

From a safety aspect Boracay is probably the best bet.
