Dog,
I think I know the guy to talk to here where we are. He's currently getting my new Magic Carpet here in a few days. I'll ask him to see if he's got any WT's lying around. What about a SB? They're great, too. Especially for our local conditions. Where have you been going out since the winds have been Kona? Hawaii Kai has been awesome!

Cal, I weigh in at 85Kg would you recommend a 157WT or a custom 147 41cm wide. This board would need to work in 8kts to 20kts wind. Kite 12M, 17M, 20M

Hmm, I wouldn't recomend a 157 WT, reason being that when a board gets longer area is further away from your back foot giving the area more leverage making the ride more physical... if ya get what I mean?
Do you ride in flat water? then a smorgas board could be tops for you.
If you ride in slightly choppy water or waves then a 147x41 or maybe even 40 could be the go.
I take it you have another higher wind board to go with this? if so go for a 147x41

I have a WT 157 Demo, but I am located in Switzerland, so it might be kind of complicated...

Cal,
I'm eagerly awaiting the MC. You were a big part of the decision, but I also was convinced by riding a SB. I just couldn't believe how good the board was. I'm riding a loaner SB from the guy who's getting the MC and I've become totally addicted to it. The only thing I haven't liked is when I first started riding it, I constantly got spray in the face. It seems to have mostly been alleviated by putting more pressure on the back foot. I got the procarbon model and even got something new! They can make a slight indention under the handle so your hand fits better. Also, they are doing something similar for the edges so you can get a better grip for board-off tricks. Not that I can do them yet, but someday!
I'll post my own review when I get it!

Hi Angelo,
Check out the second hand page of
http://www.kitepower.com.au - it's in the news section of the site - or direct link:
http://www.kitepower.com.au/news/specials_coogee.htm
There is a 142 on there and a FD - the FD has wake mounts, but if you don't want bindings you could just get one of those plate thingys with straps on it.
I would also ring kitepowers sans souci store and talk tot hem to see what they have got...
Also,
http://www.australiankiteboardingschool ... d_gear.htm
Has a 147 and an FD - the FD looks cheap actually..
Hope this helps!
Callum
