The new X-Shooter boards were introduced on the Boot as well. Three sizes will be available and so far 4 colors are planned:
133, 144, 155
neo-yellow, neo-orange, silver and clear look cevlar-carbon on the full board !

The 2003 models are fully cevlar-carbon and got sharper rails, which are protected from separating by a special material which glues the top and bottom for more strenght.

The bottom has a clear look and shows the cevlar-carbon. Due to the clear look the surface will be stronger than the colored 2002 models.

On top you can see the carbon under the X and the size.

X-Shooter continues with the Softpads and the kicker under the heal. These pads give you a very comfortable feeling and absorb shocks like choppy water or landings.
The kickers will provide a more tightend grip in the wide straps. X-Shooter has for their 2003 models metal threads for easier and better screwing of the center grip or foot straps.

The price for the boards will include a board bag and all accessories (incl. a leash setup and G10 fins)

X-Shooter was available in Germany and Austria only. Now it is looking to expand to other European countries and even further abroad.
Unfortunately distributors are not possible due to very high material costs. Therefore shops should contact X-Shooter directly:
info@x-shooter.com

For those, who don't know about it:
I joined to work on the development of these boards, therefore you can contact me as well for further infos.

X-Shooter will join the Kite Show 2003.
All boards will be available for testing.

Hey Toby,
The new boards sound (& look) great. I am glad you have given attention to the 2002 board's main (only?) weakness - the footstrap mounts. Good luck to you and Toddo with the new products

I think they look absolutely fabulous. What exactly are the advantages of a full carbon board? (and how many euro's do they want for then)

Callum,
I have the 155 & 144 (when I can wrestle it off Kathy) of the 2002 models. So they are here in sunny Sydney whenever you want to try. Toby & Toddo have threatened to come visit if the boards generate enough interest.
In fact, let's hope no-one is interested 'cause they are both ratbags and realy bad kitesurfers

it is a full cevlar-carbon board.
this material is about twice expensive than normal carbon.
The advantage is that it is stronger and but has more flex than carbon.

Price will be within Europe (EU) 769 Euros.
All accessories incl, as well as the board bag.

damn they beat me to it... Carbon/aramid weave is slightly more expensive here... but worth it literally BULLETPROOF!

I wonder if the edges are as thin as mine?

Gotta love that clear look too
