scott: you are way off the mark with your knowledge of Bests early activities, we came direct to customers becasue no shops would stock the kites, as they feared fallout from disgruntled distributors who supplied their other brands and didnt have space for another brand.

the intention has always been to do without distribution, doing it without shops initially was the only way into the market and it also gave us the margin back to be able to run the 3 for 2 for so long.

in effect it was retailers reluctance to take the brand that allowed best to sell direct and pass the saving direct to customers in the shape of the 3 for 2 deal.

Thing is everything about your business works fine. Best website, best service, nice design (Waroo Pro) but your PR on this forum sucks!! My reference to second rate, is that your designs, (pre 05) or the ones we've seen, Hellfish, BFK and the others just haven't matched the equivalent models of the same year from other brands. To quantify it by numbers isn't possible, but the general consences from fellow kiters is they just don't match the Rhinos, Contras. I've seen them all fly and I'd agree.

When it comes to flat kites, this appears to be a different story, having seen some poor offerings from other brands. I would secretly admit that I enjoyed my session on the 16m Waroo and if Cabrinha didn't have their stuff I'd grudingly be forced to buy one.
