I've been tea bagged horrendously in 25 kt plus winds on the 6.3 but had no trouble on the 9.1 in 30kt plus winds. I weigh around 95-100kg in all my gear.
either u need to ride more or you used a bad setup with bar and lines. i weigh less than 70kg and have used the kite with 30m lines in way more than 30knots. you need to watch it a bit, but even if it might be more dangerous in a bad situation, i prefer not getting in that situation at all. but sure, it's not a beginners kite in 30+ knots

dude I wouldn't even unpack the 6.3 in less than 25 kts! check your windmeter! at 25 you can use full power all the time, no depower, and up to 35 knots with 30m lines is fine... and I'm 70kg..

I wonder what I'm doing wrong.

Today I was having trouble walking along the beach with my f-one 9.1 mach1 today.

My wind meter read 25mph constant gusting to 30 mph

I had it fully depowered on the trim tabs and the cleat.

I don't think it's just me another guy on the beach was totally overpowered on an f-one Mach1 12.1 he couldn't even hold ground but was walking downwind when trying to go upwind
I got the feeling I was overpowered on the beach but when on the plane I sometimes was sinking so perhaps I need to grow bigger balls and get used to the feeling on the beach!
any ideas?

thx to all

what i see is that opinions are differend.
But is not the way that a kite with a good depower is even good for advanced beginners to control the kite ?

I mean its not flying backwards when you have more wind - the AB does that only in light winds.

and the loght steering with high kite speed can be controlled with a littel praxis.

to sylt rider
am besten du lässt deine doofen Kommentare auf meine postings. Danke.
