Don't forget to look into snowboard style construction techniques as well. Many production boards have this style of square rail with ABS or similar plastic running around the perimeter. It makes the rails simpler to construct as you don't have to overlap the fibers at the rail.

I think the combo construction would hold up well. Thinking that I don't want it too thick but better than a knife.

I have a template already cut out for a snowboard. Trying to come up with a way to get a metal edge in there. Any suggestions?

I wonder if there is an equivalent in ABS only that could be used for kiteboards?

Is that the real deal, the edge that they put into snowboards?

Where do you get that stuff?

Something similiar would probably work.

Yep that is the real deal .Get in touch with any board builder they can help .If you cant get that ,then two mill sheet cut and drilled where its glued should do it or ally or titanium. :thumb:

Yep there is ,only problem is bending it in one piece to make a good job. We are experimenting with silicone and rubber rails at the moment with a graphite mix !
