Looks like a really nice finish. Can I ask about how you do your graphics? From reading your layup description it looks like you simply laminate a printed paper sheet ontop of the wood layer but underneath the durasurf? Is the paper any special kind or does the epoxy resin protect it from the water. Where do you source the durasurf from? Is it expensive?
You're right with the way I do the graphics. Just print it on thin paper and laminate it between the core and the topsheet. It's the cheapest paper I could find. All the expensive paper doesn't absorb epoxy resin. I just purchase it at a local "make your own clothes" shop
It costs me 2,5 euro's for 10 boards.
The Durasurf is a different story. I got it from a friend on another forum. Because it can only be prchased in a minimum amount of 100 meters, he sold a lot of it. I got 3 meters from him for 40 euro's (about 50 dollars)
Nice looking board! So it's wood ply/ foam core board.
Have you used primarily on flat water or in waves?
I am living in NL and am interested in the materials you used and where they were purchased. For example is it the standard multiplex you purchase from the Do-it yourself stores? In addition do you have (or is there a dutch site) with the design, detailed specs and estimated cost of the board?
This may be my winter project!

I've used the board for 3 times now. First time was on extremely flat water with off-shore wind. The second day was with very gusty wind and very choppy water. Yesterday I used it in small waves. Only the verry choppy water is not really good, but I think no other board would have been a smooth ride. Yesterday in the small waves it was very smooth. It just glides over them, without loosing much speed or control. That might be thanks to the super flex it has.
The plywood I used is the same they use for building remote control airplanes. Very thin, very strong and very flexible. I purchase it from local wood specialist. In Dutch it's called: vliegtuigtriplex (plane-plywood)
I'm still working on a website, but progress is very slow. There's nothing on it yet. But I have posted the same board on the Dutch forum:
