do you know anything about KITESURFING in MARSA MATROUH?
It's close to Alexandria in the North of Egytp?

I've NEVER heard about it, but there are very cheap holidays there...
I did not find any news neither on kitebeaches.

I have no first hand info, though I know people do kite up there.
But I have heard that compared to the good winds of the Red Sea, up by Alexandria it's lighter winds and big kite country.
The Red Sea spots are not expensive, I reckon you'd be better off down there.

At this point I don't know if it's worth to risk to go to Marsa Matrouh or not...

Because I REALLY would like to spend a good holiday of sane kitesurfing in Red Sea, but....
Many people told me that now almost every spot is so crowded that... is creazy to kite in peace and relax!

Hurgada, Safaga, Marsa Alam seem to be all good spots for the wind, but all so crowded to get mad!

I DON'T LIKE THIS KIND OF SPOTS!
And they say that also RAS SUDR is growing like this as the lagoon is not so big fot too much people!

So do You have any GOOD ADVICES for a GOOD WIND spot in Red Sea but absolutely far from any kind of CROWDED PEOPLE?

I just spent 2 weeks in Safaga (at Club Mistral) 2 weeks ago and it's definitely not crowded there. On the busiest days there were <15 kiters out on the water. Most days we were out on the water with 4 kiters.
From October onwards it does get busier, but this is mainly for windsurfers. At that time the entire Club Mistral tends to be booked (ca. 100 windsurfers). As long as they stay on their side of the bay, you still won't have problems. But as from October the wind is not as good in the Red Sea, it's better to avoid this period anyway.

Anyone know if some kitecenter opened in MARSA MATROUH?
