Review for
f-one Tribal II 2007 11
Times tested: 2-5
Range: 10kn to 35kn
Good: Depower,
feedback, stability,
smoothness ,relaunch
Bad: Safety bungee may wear out after a few years of heavy use
Review: overall , a great kite with nothing but improvements on the 06 model. It's super smooth to fly , the depower is incredible. the hang time and height are Big, and the 5th line relaunch works a treat. recommend the bottom end for 77kgs 122 board ~20 degrees around 14 kts and top for 11 around 30 , but handle gusts to 35-40 very well

the low end of the tribal II 13 is very similar to the impact 13....infact, i just tried the tribal 13 06 again and the tribal II 07 is more like the impact than the tribal 06 in feel and in flying... but i would be splitting hairs to pick the lower ended kite , I think the 07 will have a lower bottom than the 06 if your compring the two models

Yes there will be 15M tribal II.
Actually the sizes of tribal II will be: 8, 9, 11, 13, 15.
For what do you need 3 kites?
I think better setup is: 9 for strong wind days & 13 for 13+ KTS. When you're wave board will help you going upwind in 13-14 KTS with tribal 13.
I also has demon 125, for next year I'll buy only one kite Tribal 13 and an additional light wind directional board.
Dachopper,
I'm still wating for the black 11 M tribal video

that is an interesting quiver....
the quiver Im getting is a 13/11/9 and SL impact 7or6
i get a lot of strong winds and not many days of 8-12 kts.
the bottom end of the 13 is similar to the impacts so if your find yourself often wanting a bigger kite when your riding the 13 impact ..... then i would say the 15 would be a good idea . or if your a heavier rider
i think the 15/13/11 will have you riding from about 10 kts - 25-30
i would get this quiver if there was lots of light wind days and the wind didn't generally get much over 20-25 kts.
If you get a lot of days with wind over or equal to 20 -25 kts then I would bias down a size for the smaller kite....
so if you think you need big kite I would go 15 , and go a 9 if the winds are 20-25+ often , and I would choose the 11 as the other kite.
Use the impacts wind range as a guide for what kites you want because the ranges are very similar.
I havnt got any footage of the 11 worth posting yet... too much fun!! got a decent waveriding session in today and it was SICK!!!! 20-25kts

it's mid October, how are things? Has anyone ridden the new Tribals or Impacts?
Is the new Impact much better for unhooked in stronger wind than the new Tribal?
Which one handles gusts better?
Feedback mucho appreciated!

Tribals are scheduled to leave factory end of October.
The tribals in circulation now are all preproduction demos.
The only Impacts that will make it to Oz will be special orders, but you have to be very dedicated to high wind unhooked riding to go impact rather than Tribal.
Anyone who thought Tribal06 was great, will notice that all reports indicate 07 is better.
It would be a sad day when a kite company didn't improve a model.

thanks Ral Inn,
well I don't know me being very dedicated for unhooked riding, but when we get days with 20knots or more it's really gusty and that's why I was asking abt which one is better and I still want to be able to unhook, at least to try to =)
I really like my Impact 13m2 and now thinking abt going for the Impact 11m2 than Tribal 2 11m2, does it sound stupid, eh? I'm more into unhooked stuff that's for sure, and also waves when we get them, but that's only when it's 20knots or more. I very much prefer Impact for unhooked riding than using the Tribal 06.
Thanks for your comments!
