who knows of any insurance to insure our stuff while on trips?
1. if someone steels your stuff out ióf the car
2. if your stuff never arrives at the airport?

Both situations are really scary! Can't image what I would do...

here's situation 3: if your stuff arrives at the airport, but one of those luggage trucks abused your boardbag as driveway ... happened to a friend of mine - his board looked like a victim in a splatter-movie. his luck was, that it was a real cheap board which pissed him off anyway ... but here's the real joke:
sport equipment which got destroyed is paid per weight. so, a €999,- custom wakeboard will get you about €30 ... .

nice, isn't it?

Speak to your travel agent, and get a specific insurance that will cover your equipment. The price depends on the value of the equipment as well as the length of the stay. Here in Switzerland, I managed to get one, that included the purchase of new equipment during the trip, if needed. It is expensive, but could prevent your trip from becoming a nightmare!

Not much, but I can't remember actually.

I am now looking to insure my gear for a 6 months trip. I managed to have a deal at around 350 swiss francs (Euro 240), but the value insured is limited to 8'000 swiss francs.
