I'm following the same travel plan....I just booked my airline ticket this week and planning a rather loose intinery...just as long as it includes lots of kiting! I'm competing in an outrigger race over the weekend in Rio De Jeneiro....I'll be in Rio Dec 1st till the 5th...then I fly to Fortaleza till the 12th...and then back to SoCal.
Where are you traveling from?
I'm not sure if our travel dates line up....but I'd be grateful to compare notes & beta gathered prior to departure.

This is my itinery for Brazil in December -
Cumbuco - 6th to 10th Dec
Paracuru - 11th to 17th
Prea - 18th to 22nd
Jere - 23rd to 30th

Although i'm awaiting to hear back from a couple of guys who are looking at renting an apartment in Paracura, so may be either having a shorter stay in Cumbuco or skipping it altogether.

Only the Prea & Jere leg is set in stone so far. They may also have another room avail. I'll ask & get back to you.
